Anthropic and Amazon expand collaboration for up to 5 gigawatts of new compute

Anthropic and Amazon announced a new agreement securing up to 5 GW of compute capacity for training and deploying Claude, including Trainium2 and Trainium3 chips. Anthropic commits over $100 billion to AWS over ten years, with significant Trainium2 capacity in Q2 2026 and Trainium3 later this year. The deal also expands inference in Asia and Europe, and Anthropic will use AWS as its primary training provider.
