Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei responds to Department of War supply chain risk designation

Anthropic received a letter from the Department of War designating it a supply chain risk to national security. CEO Dario Amodei states the action is not legally sound and will be challenged in court. The designation applies only to Claude use in direct Department of War contracts, not all customer uses. Anthropic had productive talks with the Department about serving it under two narrow exceptions.
