Salesforce launches rebuilt Slackbot AI agent for enterprise search and actions

Salesforce on Tuesday released a rebuilt Slackbot, now generally available to Business+ and Enterprise+ customers, transforming it from a simple notification tool into an AI agent that can search enterprise data, draft documents, and take actions. The move positions Slack at the center of agentic AI as Salesforce battles Microsoft and aims to show AI bolsters its products. The new Slackbot runs on an LLM and robust search engine, accessing Salesforce records, Google Drive, calendar data, and Slack conversations.
